Whether you're upgrading from old vinyl, redoing an entire level, or anything in between: Luxury vinyl plank is versatile. With water resistant and allergen-friendly characteristics, LVP is a good choice for just about any room. For places with high moisture, including basements and bathrooms, we recommend LVP over hardwood any day. Additionally, some of the best flooring types for pets includes LVP, laminate, and tile.
"I can’t say enough about this company and staff. Thank You so much, we love our floors."
LVP Floor Installation Process
The flooring installation process starts with a consult, of course. After an initial analysis, Floorscapes issues an estimate based on our findings. In the quoting process, we provide the best estimate of floor prep hours. However, you never truly know what the floor prep process is going to entail until the current floor covering is removed.
Floor Prep Services
Next, after flooring removal, floor prep begins. Floor Preparation can entail anything from scraping glue and residual off of the subfloor to floor leveling and moisture mitigation. Regardless, it is difficult to predict what lays beneath. Floorscapes keeps our clients up to date on all of our findings throughout the installation process. In addition, this phase includes the removal of current baseboard and/or shoe molding if applicable.
"The time they took to layout the multiple variations of the planks ensured it was gorgeous"
Creativity and Precision
What do you get when you combine creativity with precision? Craftsmanship. The Floorscapes team is full of craftsmen and craftswomen who take great pride in their work. After floor covering removal and floor prep, the installation process begins.
When it comes to Luxury Vinyl Plank Installation, Floorscapes begins by opening a few boxes of product to analyze the patterns and coloring. Next, our flooring installation team plans out the floor. Without proper planning, you'll wind up with awkward gaps and unflattering cuts.
For example, if you start with a full plank against one wall, you'll likely end up with a sliver of a plank on the other. Instead of guessing the way the floor will end, Floorscapes takes into account the core focal point and plans the floor installation from there.
Custom Trim and Molding
Last, but not least, the trim and molding comes into focus. It may seem like a means to an end, but baseboard or shoe molding makes a world of a difference in the aesthetics of a fresh floor. Our most common requests are shoe molding installation or removal of current baseboard and installation of new baseboard and casings. Regardless of your preference, Floorscapes will help guide your decision.
